LeBron Raymone James Sr., born December 30, 1984, is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in the National Basketball Association. King James is widely regarded as one of basketball's greatest players. He's frequently in comparison to Michael Jordan when discussing the most popular player. James has won four NBA Championships, the four NBA MVP Awards, four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He also has two Olympic Gold Medals. James has scored the most points in the playoffs and has the second-highest number in career scoring and has the 7th highest number of assist in the history of his team. He was named by the NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times and as a member of his place on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. James has played in the ten NBA Finals the third most ever, including eight times in a row between 2011, and 2018. In 2021, James was chosen to be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 he became the first basketball player in NBA history to rack up 10,000 or more career points rebounds and assists. James played basketball for St. Vincent St. Mary High School in the city he grew up in, Akron Ohio and was heavily touted by the national media as a possible NBA superstar. He played as a prep to pro and selected first by Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of Year He quickly established himself as one of the league's premier athletes, winning the NBA MVP award in both 2009 and 2010. The team that failed to claim a championship with Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent in order to be a part of in the Miami Heat this was announced during the television show The Decision and is among the most controversial free agents that sports has ever seen.
