Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American performer and actress. She began by releasing funny, well-written rap songs that addressed topics like race and sexual orientation. She then expanded her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants as well as Korean immigrants. Also, she received Jazz and classical training before when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies in college even taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. After graduating, it wasn't until that she turned her attention to music. Following her viral success via the Internet, her My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also contained was other hits that went viral, including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitchethe cost of $. She opted to pursue acting as a profession following the completion of her previous two ventures as a musician and author. She's appeared in movies including Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap.
